Sylvia Dryer is the owner of SKD Consulting coaching service that focuses on leadership, visionary and purpose coaching. She is a mentor and two time co host of #GOONGIRLS conference for young girls ages 8-18 years old that focused on topics such as character building, leadership, internal vs external beauty, purpose and vision. Much of Sylvia’s knowledge was gained from her own life experiences and throughout her working career in the healthcare industry.

She is an independent certified coach with the John Maxwell Team. She has served in leadership roles since she was in high school and leading on to college. She was appointed to help direct her youth choir, serve as team captain throughout her basketball career, and lead fundraiser efforts for a nonprofit organization. She served in various leadership roles in developing clinical research while working in a medical research academic institution. Serving in these leadership experiences along the way has provided her with valuable knowledge on leading others, clarifying vision and purpose. She understands that leadership is important to the success or failure of an individual, company, and the employees that work in the company.

Sylvia’s question to other leaders is, “How are you leading your “ship”or company?” It is important that you know the vision and purpose for leading yourself and company as well as leadership style. As a leader, clarifying vision and purpose on why you lead and how to lead can sometimes be challenging, but having a coach to help you clarify the vision and purpose can change the way a person leads significantly. Oftentimes, people seek clarity of vision for their lives, businesses or organization and they seek purpose to ensure that they are leading and moving forward in a positive way.
